As of this week, Vietnam has reopened to travel. I have my eye on some new hotels as well as our beloved Amanoi. Flights are tricky in and out of the country. It appears that we should enter via Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh. I need help organizing travel within the country. Here are thoughts about hotels; the challenge will be figuring out travel to them.
- Hanoi - Bill Bentley's Capella Hotel. We've been to Hanoi several times. I am considering this more because we might use Hanoi as our gateway into Vietnam. Is this hotel a pleasure, worthy of a stay when we have already seen the local sights?
- Zannier Bai San Ho, https://www.zannierhotels.com/bai-san-ho/ - The closest airports are Phu Cat (UIH) in Quy Nhon and Tuy Hoa (TBB) in Phu Yen, which are about an hour and a half by car. VietJet has a nonstop flight in December to UIH Has anyone stayed here? What did you think? How many days do you suggest?
- Amanoi - is there a way to fly from Bai San Ho or should we use a car and driver? It is a 6 hour drive. I've only found 1 stop flights on to Nha Trang. It would take us longer to take those flights than to drive.
- Azerai Ke Ga Bay - https://azerai.com/resorts/azerai-ke-ga-bay/ - this is an Adrian Zecha property and we are eager to visit it. Has anyone stayed? What did you think? What is the best way to get there from Amanoi? And the best way to go to Ho Chi Minh?
We have already been to Ana Mandara Villas in Dalat (loved it), Nam Hai outside Hoi An and Azerai Can Tho. Am I overlooking any other special places to stay?
