Snow problems...
As most of you Swedes now we've gotten a lot of snow here in the past couple of days.. Enough to interfere with airline operations of SAS..
This is from airwise.com:
"Scandinavian airline SAS said heavy snowfall in southern and central Sweden forced it to cancel more than one fifth of its flights in and out of Stockholm's Arlanda Airport on Thursday.
The snowstorm, which moved over Sweden on Wednesday evening, grounded 61 of the airline's 282 flights and also caused black-outs and traffic accidents in parts of the country.
"We can't guarantee that there won't be any further interruptions," SAS press officer Ulrika Fager said. "There may very well be more, but it all depends on the weather."
SAS Denmark spokesman Troels Rasmussen said 15-20 morning flights out of Copenhagen had been cancelled and others delayed after airport capacity had been reduced due to high winds.
"They had only one runway because of the winds and capacity was reduced by 50 percent," he said, adding traffic was now back to normal."
