It's initially random, which usually means somewhere towards the rear, but if you don't select a new seat a combination of Amadeus Seating or Theoretical Seating will probably move you further forward after a day or so, assuming you have status. Selecting a row close to the curtain has a high risk of being moved, though in some cases you can read the runes and decide it probably won't happen.
Thanks for this. Went to check-in and it sent me to an empty row 14. In quite a rush tomorrow so want to be as far down the front as possible so just re-selected an aisle seat in a full row 6.
