In my case. after 36+ years in BA, working in other LHR terminals, I've only used firm concessions and haven't had to standby for years - yes, I'm lucky but as retired have time to be ultra flexible with flights.
Stymied today however when a domestic flight became oversold and I just don't know where Staff Subload desk is. Never needed it before you see.
