Can I ask the recent posters a question, the ones who are staying 3 nights and especially 6 nights? Are you planning on going to the Tetons, and Yellowstone?

Our plan was Tetons first, then going up to Yellowstone, but because of the distances, low speed limits, many, many stops at every geyser, waterfall, and gurgling spring, and my irrational fear of bison destroying our rental car (I SAID it was irrational) we were not going to base in Jackson Hole but rather travel....stop....travel...stop...travel...stop... (Signal Mountain Lodge, then Gardiner, MT, then West Yellowstone...

I'm curious as to what your plans are for staying 6 nights in Jackson Hole? I realize the Cloudveil seems very nice (I booked elsewhere since I'm a cheapskate and can't get past the resort fee and egregious valet parking on top of the usurious room rates)...but are you planning on planting yourself in the town for 3/6 nights?

I'm concerned that maybe we're shortchanging the town? But looking at maps/reviews, there's a main street of shopping, and....

Truly, I have plenty of time to adjust our trip, I just want to know what I'm not "getting"?
