I just completed a weekend here and fans of free drinks will be delighted to know that the executive lounge has returned! Nightly from 6:00 - 7:30 part of the breakfast room has wine, beer, spirits, and snacks for what appears to be all Gold and Platinum members. The quality of the food was low, but the quality of the drinks was surprisingly high, and the service was good. I went both nights I was at the hotel and it was not crowded at all. The previous BRL 100 credit really was nice, and I'm not sure if I'd prefer it or the new setup, but at least this indicates a return to normalcy. Daily housekeeping is back, too.

Not much has changed at the hotel. Despite its many faults, the location simply can't be beat, and I can't imagine staying anywhere else if I'm in Copacabana. I would say the quality of the breakfast buffet has gone down since I was last there in March '21, but it was never really great to begin with.
