Here now for 2 nights. Regency Club is only open on weekends. During the week, breakfast is in the restaurant, the Club has soft drinks and coffee and tea all day, and evening offerings are at the Bar. I was given a piece of paper with Regency Club Benefits for showing to servers at the Bar. The evening Club (at Bar) food selection is decent, but quite as good as when I stayed here Dec. 2019. In addition to the red and white and sparkling wines (all local) on the table, I was able to order beer from the Bar. You can make the evening offerings as a meal if so desired.

Once you check in with Covid vaccine pass, masks are not required in the hotel, a very nice change from Cologne which required everyone to wear a mask inside HR.

This is my second stay at HR Mainz and I like it as a good alternative to staying in Frankfurt, which only has a Hyatt Place at the Airport (nicest HP I've been to).

P.S. My planned travel from Mainz to FRA Airport by S-Bahn or DB was derailed because S-Bahn was not direct from any Mainz station to FRA Airport and DB frequency was every 2 hours on Wednesday. Tuesday had a lot more direct options. all other options included transfers, including buses according to Google Maps and hotel front desk. So we took a taxi, ~59 euros. So check train schedule and have backup plan.
