Thanks, that is really helpful. Both call centre agents appear to have a problem with me moving the flight from going via Tokyo. I have now raised a complaint via BA.COM (apparently my next route). I am actually so surprised the way this has been dealt with. It seems BA considers themselves to have no responsibility for getting my partner back home. Surely that can't be true?
