I found the luaus I went to cringeworthy and more than a little bit culturally insensitive. If you’ve never seen Polynesian dancing before the kind of shows you get in Bora Bora (or for that matter Fiji and other islands in the region) can be interesting. I’m with you on the crap buffet food though.
