Even in its last days, US offered a few advantages...

- The annual Share Miles promotion where you could generate hundreds of thousands of miles at 1.12 cpm
- US forgetting to charge fuel surcharges on BA flights after the US/AA merger
- The 90K RT J award to Asia somehow being cheaper than the awards to Europe
