New Parking Fees

Has anyone noticed an increase in the number of hotels which are charging parking fees where they didn't previously and higher parking fees for hotels which already did have such fees? I suspect it's linked to Marriott.com now having a "Show rates with taxes and all fees" tickbox on their website. Parking fees conveniently don't show up when you tick that.

It's getting to the point of being absurd now. Take a look at the Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista (MARSHA: mcobs). I wouldn't stay there or recommend anyone stay there, but it's a great example of an old hotel charging high fees.
Guest Room, 2 Queen
$109/night advertised. Out-the-door: $175.05. Almost double the price.
Resort Fee: $23.95
Parking Fee: $22.00
Taxes (12.5%): $21.88

I know taxes aren't (always) under the hotel's control, but those made-up fees most certainly are. They better be careful; fees that high will eventually get the attention of the politicians.
