AA site still cannot book any IB award seats on any date / routing regardless they show on AA site.

About the AA Web Special - it does not matter you cannot change it because you can cancel AA award, any award, without any redeposit fee. So if the Web Special does not work later you just cancel it in time (2 hours? before domestic departure? you need to make sure the cut off time). The regular awards cannot be changed online any way, must call agent. So what difference it makes? Just cancel and rebook would be the easiest and most efficient method.

Sometimes if a longhaul flight is on Web Special and still available for a week or 2 weeks, AA would finally change it to regular Saaver award. Happened in the Fall of 2021 - saw a lot of those. No idea if it is still the case now.

At least now it seems BA charges same YQ as IB, based on what London Dude also saw it. BA auto defaults me to US site.
