That’s what I figured about Edelweiss operated, but still doesn’t explain my TLV flights which were Swiss operated. I didn’t even think about the possibility of Mileage Plus, even though I was loyal to United for the first ten years of my flying life! I still have that account, so could have picked that had I known. As both trips (TLV and GIG) were originating from NCE, even the Edelweiss ones had LX segments, so it would have been a bit complicated to split them all up between different programs. I think I was also using some of the *G advantages like extra bag and certainly Senator lounge instead of the normal one… so not even quite sure it would have been worth the extra fuss.

Again, this was almost four years ago, and when I chased it down with TK, it seemed that the denial was that P was an ineligible fare category.
