So checked out today of hotel overseas booked as part of a BA Holiday package. It was Hampton by Hilton.

When checking in the other day I did the usual, present the pre-printed BA Holidays hotel voucher. All was fine. Was never asked for Cc or Passport.

Upon checkout was told you owe x amount for the stay, consisting of room stay and bar bill. They asked if I wanted them to bill the same card. Naturally I was confused, and told them the room is prepaid and its just the bar bill I need to pay for.

But he was adamant it was not prepaid. He stated the credit card they had on file (last 4 digits) and I realised thats not mine! Must be BA Holiday’s.

So being a goody too shoes I told him to charge the room to that card, and I paid the bar bill in cash.

I wonder what would have happened if I had charged the bar bill to BA Holidays credit card ?! 😂

I got given an invoice also for the room stay, and I could see exactly how much BAH paid Hilton for my room..

quite funny really.. never known anything like it !
