the auto re-book should put you into PN on the new flight. An agent should be able to do that as well assuming the re-route is reasonable.
this is an interesting situation. Two weeks ago I had a flight cxl where I was booked into PN on a B fare. However, when I was rebooked by an agent the agent only saw that I was somehow on his screen that I was actually booked into a S fare instead B originally.
the agent was able to get it resolved after speaking with a supervisor under the guise that my fare was a “mistake” fare not my fault.
