Just moved into an Otemanu view villa for the last night of my stay. Jesus Christ. I nearly shed a tear when I walked in and saw the view. I’ve been a professional photographer for over a decade, and no camera I own or could buy can ever do justice to what I’m looking at right now. It’s inspiring the same level of awe as I did the first time seeing the Grand Canyon. I can’t wait to watch the sunrise come over the mountain tomorrow.
Also after the conversation I had with the food manager, he offered to specially prepare a meal for us. The executive chef spent years in Thailand, so he made us a curry that actually tasted like a curry. It was delicious all around. So it’s not that they can’t cook here. I think perhaps the surveys they’ve received so far have been highly misleading, making them take the ultra safe approach. Because no guest I’ve spoken to has been impressed with the dining options other than the Chinese restaurant.
