Yes it does make you a jerk (and worse, a liar) as there was absolutely zero need for the attack to begin with regardless of whether the issue for me not fitting in airline seats is due to height or width. And actually the width is an issue too because of broader shoulders which just come from being taller even though I have difficult time finding pants that have a slim enough waist for the length I need.
And more poor assumptions on your part about age. I was born before A Few Good Men was made but not much before. I also quote a lot of movies that were made well before I was born. I quote Casablanca quite a bit which was made many decades before I was born.
