I was notified of the cancellation of my connection when I landed in LGA. I was hoping to switch my flight while taxiing in which took a while but also wasn’t 2 hours (it did take about 45 minutes). If the AA app would have let me switch to an alternate city I wouldn’t have cared or even tried to reach an agent via the phone. If i was notified of the cancellation at my origin I would have rerouted from there. But my flight wasn’t delayed or canceled at that point and AA wouldn’t even let me switch to a routing via CLT when I checked in at my origin since there were no delays at that point.
This ain’t my first rodeo and your snarky after-the-fact quarterbacking isn’t necessary.

To my knowledge ATL, MSP & DTW do not have AmEx lounges. If you get that excited about SkyClubs you want to spend 2-3 hours in one gorging on processed food or free cheap liquor then DL’s marketing department is working. Now it makes sense why you mentioned you don’t fit in the seats.
In regards to plane spotting I can’t think of more boring stations than MSP, DTW or ATL. Unless all you like spotting are DL planes 95% of the time.
I included JFK in that list which does have an AmEx Lounge and as you can possibly figure out from the other part of my other post, I also fly other airlines through airports that do have AmEx Lounges.
And good for you if you find spotting boring. I quite enjoy it even at airports like ATL especially in the nicer weather where I can go enjoy yen SkyDeck at the F club.

I’m active duty military and have to meet height and weight standards and live an active and overall healthy lifestyle. I don’t fit in airline seats because of my >95th percentile height but thanks for demonstrating to the forum what a jerk and prick you are for your piss-poor, wrong assumptions. I won’t hold my breath for an apology from you for being a jerk though.
