Attractive as this is as a RTW fare, don't overlook that the permitted stopovers in each direction allows one to create two distinct roundtrip itineraries (i.e. France to USA, and separately, USA lo New Zealand). I'm having no trouble exploring such itineraries in the (old) ITA Matrix, Multi-city, using Alliance star-alliance as the limiting factor.

In ExpertFlyer I'm noting that NZ is scheduling only 787s for their TPAC routes (LAX, SFO, IAH, ORD) later this year. If anyone believes that this is only placeholder info (i.e. no sense scheduling the more comfortable 777s until the country actually reopens), or that the mediocre online reviews of NZ's 787 business class seat are misleading, please don't hesitate to provide your insights.
