I think it’s like when they part of PP at LAX and only open very limited hours for Am Ex card holders. During the times Virgin has flights going out I think they are only open for virgin flyers (and eligible Delta flyers on LHR flights() to take care of their own customers.
When Virgin was in the Delta terminal at LAX and part of priority pass you could only access it in the morning and the offerings were very limited.
The Virgin Clubhouse is only open early mornings for Amex cardholders. But that actually makes it a great option for a spot to relax and get a little breakfast after a redeye. I did that on my last New York trip and it was wonderful. Lounge nearly totally empty and got some nice things to eat before heading out into the city.
