GE is run by Homeland Security, so she most definitely would not have been interviewed by a sheriff or any other local law enforcement. Along with others that have already commented, my own GE interview was very straight-forward. The only question I remember was "Why do you want GE?" to which I answered "Have you ever tried entering the US via the non-US citizen/resident line?".... approved. I recently went through CLT and spent less than a minute in the company of the GE machine with no queue to get to it. The longest bit of arriving in CLT was waiting for the bags to arrive on the belt.
