Had a good stay here recently. As a Globalist, I was upgraded to one of the terrace rooms. This upgrade was preferable to a suite on this particular stay, so I didn't ask about the junior suite despite it showing as available. There are at least 14 of these terrace rooms, maybe a few more. They're all on the second floor and most (if not all) face the pool. The terraces range from decent size to huge. Regardless of size, they all appeared to have a chair, a small square table, and a lounger. The terrace added greatly to my stay. Parking in the garage across the street was comped as I was on an award stay. I also received a small bag at check-in with a bottle of water and a granola bar. There were two more bottles of water in the room.
At breakfast in Greater Pacific restaurant, I was offered the choice of a buffet or ordering from the menu. Menu options looked good, but I chose the buffet, which had high quality pancakes and sausages, lower quality potatoes, eggs, several types of fruit, breads, oatmeal, and pastries. Greater Pacific was mostly empty at dinner, and the menu wasn't too interesting, so I went elsewhere.
The hotel was in great shape and had nice towels and Pharmacopia toiletries. The pool was minimally populated during my mid-week stay with iffy pool weather. The pool is fairly small and has a 4" maximum depth. The room had been renovated, but still needed better lighting, and desk chair comfort was just ok.
The gym is pretty small and had no water. I was expecting better from an HR. I've seen a better gym at an HP.
Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and a strong value at 8000 points. Too bad it is going up a category, but it can still be a good option off peak.
