Your boarding pass - assuming OLCI works for you - will allow passage through to security any time that day. The concept of arriving 5 hours early at ORD is an interesting one, but you would be better off making it 2 hours. If you have a PriorityPass then the Swissport lounge will be open but I'm not accepting any writs for harmful advice if you actually use the lounge for an extended period. Rosemont indeed has shopping, hotel and restaurant options, though unfortunately the Blue line station is geographically badly placed for almost all options. Cumberland, on the other hand, has a number of places nearby including a Marriott next door.
