Does the Capital One app track your spending progress toward the bonus requirement? Does it show pending points or only the current point balance?
Way off topic: Decades ago Cap1 had a 100k offer with high spending requirement. I bought US Savings bonds for the family's 3 cards. We spent $3500 of points on a sailboat rental. Epic.
The Cap 1 app does show a bonus tracker, showing both $ spent and remaining amount. The latest update to the app also seems to encourage you to reach the spend. In the tracker section, there is a statement that was added "Earn 100,000 bonus miles once you spend $10,000 in your first 6 months. Get there faster by adding your card where you like to shop." Then, there is a link to Paypal, Airbnb and Spotify. It also shows you the expiration date.
The app also shows your points earned for each charge. The points are available once the charge posts to the account.
