Have done both BA and TAP in J during the last couple of weeks. I actually prefer TAP as the J cabin is usually 4-5 rows, with only half the seats taken. Compare that to 12 rows of mega club experience on BA. TAP just feels a lot more chilled in terms of space. Food and service wise BA has the edge, but there is only so much service a crew can provide for 48 people.
Oh, and there is the one mid haul aircraft in the TAP fleet that is occasionally on the LHR rotation. If you get that in club, it is very nice. Sadly far from guaranteed.
