Hey All,
I recently flew Southwest and checked my 55 inch TV as oversized luggage. The Southwest concierge pasted about 5 bright orange "FRAGILE" stickers. When I arrived to my apartment, my TV's screen was cracked in 3-4 different places. I am pretty disappointed that Southwest didn't appear to handle it with care.
I booked the flight by transferring my CSR Chase Points to Southwest and paid with points and Chase CSR ($5 for the tax fee). Southwest only reimbursed $150 via Southwest voucher. I filed a claim online and awaiting the result. My recently bought TV is worth about $850.
I am hoping that my claim will be approved and I think it will be a good idea to share my journey with you all.
