But I want to share a small data point, a real experience just now in using LifeMiles in a way that was great.

Had to get from Australia to the USA last month - and wanted to do it in J. Many airlines/flights still not operational due to Covid. And I wanted to do it in an economical way. Researched the current status quo, and ended up booking SYD-HND-JFK on ANA in J. Compared to cash fares for same, it was a steal. Had a hiccup with the first aussie credit card I attempted, but worked with the second minutes later - was booked!

Seat selection etc all worked perfectly. Constant updates from ANA about the requirements for travel in Covid-times. Flights went perfectly - low pax numbers but staff absolutely FANTASTIC. I have never had a bad experience with ANA.

Dream trip. And yet again I scored something through LifeMiles that would otherwise have been out of my economical reach. J all the way, for something like $2000, when cash tickets on other airlines would have costed 4x as much.

LifeMiles has its challenges, but it also has its beauty.
Congrats on a successful booking. I do worry if ANA suddenly took away LifeMiles J availability there wouldn't be too many other airlines with generosity J availability out of Australia. I'm based in Sydney still sitting on 340,000 miles
