Yes, but the only segment on LH is ATH-MUC, so presumably they will only check what is needed to transit Germany, right? Won't United still want my US passport and US covid entry requirements?
Recently my only experience with LH to UA flights involved overnight stopovers in FRA which required that I check in separately with UA. At FRA UA has a checkpoint before reaching the gates where they check documentation for connecting passengers . No idea how that is done in MUC.
