Here's a 2022 breakdown of Marriott brands by region grouped by brand type - at least Marriott's groupings (Luxury, Premium, Select, Longer Stay).
As noted previously, when searching the 30 brands separately, the hotels totaled up to 8300 - more than the 8226 shown on the hotel search that day. When searching/sorting by _region_, I got 8260 hotels in total. The "hotel diff" column below notes the difference between the total provided by the website by brand versus what the regions numbers provided by brand.
Again, USA is by far the largest in most groupings but the percentages of Luxury and Premium for Asia and Europe are larger percentages than USA for Select and Longer Stay.
