I assume that my Chase Sapphire Reserve covers the basic autorental insurance on this (it does say F150 is ok, but... it might not be an F150 specifically)
or maybe I should buy the $13/day priceline insurance. Its just a 3 day rental. Maybe worth it?

I have no car and no auto insurance of my own... a little nervous as a first time pickup driver, though been a car driver for 40+ years!
Are you certain Chase Sapphire covers a Ford F-150? I don't think they call out specific makes models. We would call to confirm because this is what we see on their website:

What's Not Covered
This is not an exhaustive list. Examples include:
  • Expensive, exotic, and antique automobiles; vans designed to carry more than 9 people; vehicles that have an open cargo bed; trucks; motorcycles, mopeds, and motorbikes; limousines; and recreational vehicles
  • Expenses reimbursed under your personal auto insurance policy, your employer or your employer’s insurance
  • Any obligation you assume under any other agreement
  • Injury of anyone or anything inside or outside of the vehicle
  • Leases and mini leases; including hourly rentals and car share services
  • Any violation of the auto rental agreement
  • Loss or theft of personal belongings
You can purchase the insurance from Priceline or we partner with Sure for discounted coverage. We can confirm that Sure's policy does cover pickup trucks.

Hope this helps. Safe travels!
