It's pretty new, came in a couple months ago or so. I think sometimes the call gets routed differently, because I'm sure I heard the old one too, like you, a few weeks back.
But also new one just before Christmas
But who knows, it's BA after all.
On the holding, I always call after 11pmish UK time. Never wait longer than a minute, at most.
