I stayed there last weekend. I have a love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with the hotel. It has a resort fee for stuff I don't use and a parking fee for a parking lot that is almost never secured. And I feel like I am being nickeled and dimed all the time.
1. We stayed two nights. Our room was never cleaned. The second morning the housekeeper kept banging on the door because we were listed as having checked out.
2. We were checked out. I had a two night reservation and they checked us out on the first morning. Fortunately they didn't move our stuff out of the room.
3. They also checked us out the second morning, even though I had gotten a "late" check out. I saw the receipt and they failed to credit the F&B $30 to the account. I went to the front desk. The clerk said she had given us a credit for the $30. I looked at the receipt and there was a $30 charge and a $30 credit with the note credit to guest. Well, the credit has not appeared on my credit card account, though the full amount of the charge did. I am currently trying to resolve this.
4. They did give us a late check out of noon, rather than 11 am. It was a Monday, so I can't imagine that they were fully booked.
The reason I like it is that it is the most reasonably priced hotel on Singer Island (well there are a couple of places that really look dumpy that are probably cheaper). It is convenient for diving Blue Heron Bridge which I like to do once a year or so.
It is on the beach and for the first time in many years of staying that we got a room on the side of the hotel that has a partial ocean view. Only a couple of rooms on each floor have real balconies.
