Flight BAXXXX on [redacted] was subsequently cancelled on 18 March 2020, 19 days before its planned operation.

Article 5(1)(c)(i) of EC Regulation 261/2004 confirms that the compensation set out in Article 7 will not be payable in the event a passenger is notified of the cancellation at least two weeks before the scheduled time of departure of the flight. The passengers’ booking was updated to confirm the cancellation of the flight and cancelled over two weeks before the PTD of the flight, on 19 March 2020. However, the passengers booked through a third party and it seems they didn’t relay this information to the Passengers until 03 April 2020.
Where do I stand here in this CEDR response from BA? I received no communication from either BA or the travel agent until April 3rd, which was 2 days before the flight. I can't seem to see anywhere about carrier having a responsibility for communicating the cancellation.
