If it matters, at this stage outbound is CWS on 777 and inbound on A380.

Bassinets are really only good for babes in arms. You're likely to struggle with a toddler.

What you could have done is to have spanned the trip to include your child's second birthday. BA's policy is to provide a seat in the same cabin to your toddler at no extra charge on the return journey for the fact they are then a child as opposed to being an infant.
