I last flew Washington to Heathrow in Club about 3 years ago but I got a drink shortly after take off and then I went to bed until asking for coffee about an hour before landing. I think East Coast used to offer the supper or Express service which was often served as one tray shortly after take off and I recall included a hot panini with salad and dessert or similar. I find the trade off on these flights is either sleep and rest or taking advantage of the full meal service.
