I am not BA bashing, but I am just curious as to why this takes so long when meals are served on a single tray? Most people probably want to catch as much sleep as possible on these overnighters?

I was asked whether I wanted to be woken for breakfast. Uh, no.

The likes of LH and LX tend to get the food out more efficiently on night flights.
Current reduced crew complements in Club World in full cabins where in my experience majority are leisure customers who want full experience, and no longer offering a sleeper service which used to be a service we offered on East coast night flights and middle East night flights. Current service is amenity kits and bottled water after take off, meal and drinks order (if not completed ), drinks and nibbles, followed by one tray main meal, followed by tea/ coffee and clear in , and then second service regardless of length of flight and timing of flight. Due to reduced complements, the only thing which should be offered pre take off are pre take off drinks, menus, and drinks and meal order time permitting.

2 hours for a (if OPs flight was indeed ) full cabin delivering the current full experience is quite quick considering on a 789 there are only two crew delivering in the cabin, one of whom would be the SCCM who has to dip in and out of the service to do other safety related duties and say hello to F customers ahead of joining the service, and one in the galley preparing the service and drinks for 42 pax.

This is something I have been feeding back internally for a while but until the service standards are rewritten to offer a sleeper service and crew complements return to pre covid, this is the current standard.
