Took my first Inspirato trip.

We booked mahogany in Park City for $990 per night. Looks like it’s as low as $750 in the off season as $3k+ on high season.

Overall, the property was pretty nice.

I was interested in how Inspirato worked in practice compared to luxury hotels. Some observations:

- The quality of the house was quite high

- That said, being a house, there were some quirks and issues. Namely, we had an issue with the thermostat.

- I found the “hands on” approach of Inspirato a bit much. I felt like before and during the stay, there were 7+ emails and calls from Inspirato introducing us to different people, teams, etc. My preference would be just to have a single point of contact.

- Similar to above, the “human touch” actually made it more inconvenient at times. While the concierge certainly meant well, meeting at certain times to open the house and waiting for her at times was more hassle than it was worth.

- While Insp. certainly met expectations, there was no “wow” moment or anything. I thought maybe they would have given us a bottle of wine for our first stay or something.

- Inspirato had a lot of branded stuff - towels, q-tips, etc.

Overall it was a quality home rental, and certainly a huge value proposition for larger parties versus a hotel. But I am not head over heels in love with Inspirato, and I don’t think it really disrupt the home rental industry that much. Jm
