I am OK with it as it was offer to expedite the claim already submitted (in my case EU261x2 after arriving 6 hours later than scheduled for a flight <1000km on a route that they run 5-8 flights a day on). I was fortunate that I had GF to waste 7 hours in.
I think it is too early for BA to say what they will meaningfully do to stop it happening again as there are just so many things that need to change after the last management team wrecked it.
