I've been avoiding BA on transatlantic routes for a long time because of BA's horrid seating configuration in CW. AA has a superior product in biz class IMO. Regardless, the one thing worth bearing in mind is that flying a non-EU/UK airline from the US will not allow you to claim compensation under EC261, should something go wrong.
