Yep. Mrs. Majuki had the USCBP GE office at LAX update her records. (SFO had added her US passport but did not also set that as her entry document, so we had to stop by LAX when the kiosk wasn't taking her passport.)

If you use GE to enter the US at a land border crossing, the RFID chip in the physical GE card is needed - such as to access Nexus lanes at the US/Canada border. On the other hand, if your only use of GE is to enter the US via air, then you could defer getting a new GE card until your next GE renewal. Just a thought.
Since Mrs. Majuki was within 3 months of being able to renew at the time, we opted to wait for renewal rather than order a new card.
If you are anticipating doing land border crossings into the US, I would get a new card to avoid potential discrepancies.
I remember reading at least one dp of someone using the card where the nationality on the card didn't match due to becoming a US citizen, and it wasn't an issue after explaining acquisition of US citizenship. There are Nexus members on FlyerTalk who are both US and Canadian citizens, so you might find some more examples within those relevant threads.
