Don't buy this much at all honestly. If this is anything like the Premier/1K/Polaris check-in area at IAD you'll just be standing there at the chicken (check-in kiosk) waiting for someone to validate/verify your credentials anyway. And they have 2, maybe 3, people working the entire bank of chickens at IAD for the Premier area. I avoid it at all costs. I don't see this "drop your bag in under a minute" being any better. United is woefully understaffed in this area and this is exactly why it's one of the more stressful aspects of travel - because you have to wait forever!
Maybe if they took all the CS folks they're removing from airports in favor of us having to scan a QR code for help, they can move them to the front check-in areas to speed up that process and make it less stressful and time-consuming.
