They were checking everyone's bag at the gate before boarding the 767 so I figured with GS pre-board and an expedient checker, I might be OK. However, they had a narrow lane for BG1 and no access area to stand for pre-boarding. GA called handicapped, military, GS, families and 1K in a single breath so I was about the 15th person through to be checked and then flagged for the SSSS. Process included full pat-down, emptying of my backpack, pockets and shoe removal and inspection. Added about 3 min and put me back about 20-25 people in the boarding line. My wife already had her PDB champagne by the time I made it to my seat
I lost TSA Pre in IAH and got flagged for random additional screening after going through the metal detector. Not my day.
