Booked a week's stay at the RC for almost the same price as the Marriott (1800 euro vs 1700, both are Deluxe rooms with King beds), and then wondered if I was missing something and booked the Marriott as well and figure I'll cancel one of them once I do some research.

I'm a platinum member and not sure how likely an upgrade is at either property for that time of year (late November into early December), but figured I'd check here with the experts on that, as well as if there's a compelling reason I shouldn't stay at the RC that anyone can share? We probably won't use the on-site dining more than once and aren't really into the bar/lounge thing, so it's mostly about the room itself and the fitness center I suppose.
