I'm on the phone with customer service as we speak trying to get the "boosted miles" reclassified as base miles. The customer service rep told me that the "boosted miles" were CORRECTLY classified as bonus miles and I told him that that was misleading and that I would want a refund if my "boosted miles" are not classified as base miles. Even if I'm the only person on the forum who has experienced this, I think this is an important data point, buyer beware. I only bought the boosted upgrade after the success of others on FlyerTalk getting their boosted miles as base miles.
Ideally they will just classify my "boosted miles" as base miles and I'll be satisfied.
