Premium Economy is not the same as Main Cabin Extra. On widebody aircraft AA has a separate Premium Economy cabin. It will be 2 + 4 + 2 seating or 2 + 3 + 2 depending on the aircraft. From a hard product perspective it's similar to BA's WTP cabin. See https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/...um-economy.jsp for AA's marketing on PE. The one major difference between AA and BA when it comes to Premium Economy would be in terms of alcoholic beverages. BA will serve spirits in WTP and WT whereas on AA it's beer and wine only.

MCE is used to describe extra legroom seats in the Main Cabin.
