As someone who wears a sunflower lanyard in Heathrow just so I can sucessfully traverse the airport without crumbling into a heap, I cannot express how annoyed this makes me.
If you think there’s an actual disadvantage to others wearing a sunflower lanyard there’s no harm in writing in and saying you suspect their use by the check-in agents is a bit flippant. I must admit I was surprised by their ubiquity in certain front-line hospitality/customer service positions.
