A quick question for the group which I would imagine has been answered in the thread however I couldn't find it searching through the most recent pages. If you standby to a flight departing after your original flight (assuming no fare class ability for SDC) and you get to the end of the day's schedule without securing a seat - what happens? Are you able to roll your standby request to the next day? Or does your flight automatically cancel?

While this is not a desired outcome its feels possible for a trip later this week where we (DM+GM) now have a conflict during the original flight and its extremely cost prohibitive to make a change outside the SDC/SDS process. Fare class availability per ExpertFlyer right now looks extremely slim so I am expecting the only potential flight to even have a chance at a seat is the last one of the night. Ultimately if it has to be cancelled that is an acceptable outcome but just want to be prepared in advance. Thanks.
