In many cases , especially more expensive business tickets, the UA fare basis is more generous PQPs. The advantage for the mileage approach is generally best for discount business (P?), premium economy fares
Such as a RT Z fare on LX for EWR-ZUR would earn more PQPs on UA ticket if the fare was $2,500 or higher than with the mileage method for a LX plated ticket at a little under 2,400 PQPs
Partner roundtrip non-stop would cap out at 3,000 PQPs and fare PQPs in business would generate exceed that.
