The full name is The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel which might be why you did not even give it a second thought. Radisson is certainly not high on my list of desired hotel brands, but this one in Manchester was pretty good. It is located in an historic building for public spaces and has a "new" tower for the rooms. It has a good location... we walked everywhere. Our room also had a very pleasant view of the city center and Town Hall. Our room was not all that large, but it was efficiently fitted out and it had a nicely finished bathroom with separate shower and tub. I'd say my stay in this hotel (twice) was easily better than most any US Hilton, Hyatt, Westin level hotel. Tha being said, it is obviously not a hotel that anyone in this forum would coo over.
