During my years of frequent travel, I stuck with Avis (and/or Budget) as I found their rates, availability and points worth doing.

Also found that when I showed up to a rental location and wanted to ask for something, I would have them first look up my account.
Having them scroll through dozens and dozens of rentals was more persuasive in getting something than any case I could plead verbally.
